Our Beetle expert has found 2 rare beetles on the Meadows: Bembidion gilvipes and Tropiphorus terricola which are designated as “Notable B”. Neither has a common name. He also found 72 other species which he says is good for cold weather. He will come down again, now it’s warmer, to find the summer species. Insects are the bottom of the food chain and it shows the management is good if we have good species diversity. Thank-you Clive for your time.
